New "Facelifted" 2001.5 Passat

Well, here's what us '98-2000 model year B5 owners have been waiting
for...the first cosmetic modification to our beloved B5's. And just as I
thought, I'm going to be extremely jealous. For a sedan, I found the
early year B5's to be extremely sporty, but now seem to find this 2001
model year B5 even sportier! Who would have thought this was possible?
As a youth, still in my early 20's, "sportiness" is a major
variable in my decision on what kind of car I'm going to be driving, and
this new B5 definitely has that characteristic to go along with a new,
more sophisticated type of look added to it. I have to admit, I'm
envious already! And the car isn't even out yet. Only turn off for me is
those taillights. Looks a little too "jap-mobile" for me. I'd
feel these kind of taillights would look much better on our runner up
competitors, the Maxima and the Camry. But overall, I definitely would
give this new "facelifted" B5 a big thumbs up! |
