INSTALLATION OF 5 BAR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ON 1.8T:

I observed Anthony from Greedspeed do my car. This is best accomplished on a cooled down car. You must open the gas cap to release any residual pressure. The regulator is located on the top back of the engine just under the edge of the plastic top cover.

1- Remove the top cover - a couple of screws.

2- With a screwdriver, gently pry off the black vacuum line that is connected on the nipple to the right. Might be difficult, you may have to remove the hose clamp.

3- A metal "C" clip holds the regulator in place from the left side. Use needle nose pliers and/or a screwdriver to pull the clip out - it's tight!

4- Pull up on the regulator, it might take some rocking to pop it out, it's double o-ringed.

5- Replace old with new, it will take some extra pressure to fully seat the regulator because of the double o-rings. A little oil on the o-rings may make it easier.

6- Replace the C clip from the left.

7- Replace the black vacuum line on the right side nipple.

8- Replace your gas cap.

DONE!
